Demi Moore goes from chic to geek as she takes time off from her promotional tour

She's looked coiffed and polished for a string of worldwide engagements over the last couple of months.

But Demi Moore has her off days like anyone else.

The 48-year-old went from chic to geek as she visited a friend in Los Angeles, yesterday.

Squinting through a pair of thick-framed spectacles and screwing up her nose, Moore looked more computer nerd than Hollywood screen star.

Dressed in a pair of fitted green cargo pants, a black cardigan and short flat leather boots, she was low-key and casual.

To finish off the look she wore her hair in plaits, a hairstyle known to be more on the conservative side.

Moore has been busy for the last few months with various engagements.

She has been promoting her new film Margin Call at film festivals such as Sundance, as well as accompanying her 33-year-old husband Ashton Kutcher around the world with his own hit movie No Strings Attached, which also stars Natalie Portman.

There was also a trip to Brazil, where Demi cheered Ashton on as he walked the catwalk.

And this followed on from a December vacation in Egypt for the jet-setting pair.
For her numerous events, she has slipped into some stunning designer clothes.

She was also seen in a sexy skimpy bikini as she holidayed in St Barts with Kutcher last month.

But while the frequent travel might be exciting, it is also tiring, and so it's no wonder that she has gone for a more low-key look.

And even though she has taken some time off from looking glamorous on the outside, she is still keeping healthy on the inside.

Carrying her favourite coconut water brand Vita Coco and a Tupperware container, Demi chose to bring her own nutritious meal her latest luncheon.
